Intel Announced Shutdown of all Business Operations in Russia

Many of the Tech giants are paving their way out of Russia since the invasion broke out. Russia is being condemned by many MultiNational Companies worldwide which including Google, Firefox, Intel, etc.

On April 5th, Intel announced that they are suspended all business operations in Russia. Almost a month before, Intel announced that they have suspended its shipments to Russia and Belarus.

On March 3rd, 2022, the company published a statement that stated, “Intel condemns the invasion of Ukraine by Russia and we have suspended all shipments to customers in both Russia and Belarus. Our thoughts are with everyone who has been impacted by this war, including the people of Ukraine and the surrounding countries and all those around the world with family, friends, and loved ones in the region”. 

The statement included a note that they have raised a relief fund of $1.2 million. Many intel employees were providing their support to refugees in Poland, Germany, and Romania. Intel stated that they were proud of their employees. Intel employees working in Russia were also being supported by the organization.

A recent statement on April 5th stated that “We are working to support all of our employees through this difficult situation, including our 1,200 employees in Russia. We have also implemented business continuity measures to minimize disruption to our global operations”.
