A new version of Burp Suite (Burp Suite 2021.12.1) with several new bug fixes and features has been released recently by the PortSwigger for Professional and Community users.
For web application pentesters, the Burp Suite is a complete set of tools and a perfect companion for them. This web application pentesting tool is created and maintained by PortSwigger, and it’s written in Java.
In this new release, the developers of Burp Suite has added two new key features:-
- Burp Suite 2021.12.1 allows users to configure Intruder attacks against multiple hosts.
- For customizing the Inspector the Burp Suite 2021.12.1 embedded several new options.

- Multi-host Intruder attacks.
- New Inspector panel options.
- Support for Mac M1(Arm64) chips.
- Proxy Intercept is now off by default (new installations only).
- Embedded browser upgrade (Chromium 97.0.4692.71)
While apart from this, Port Swigger have also fixed several minor bugs and among them, the most critical one is the:-
A bug that prevented the Burp Suite from finishing the TLS handshake with servers whose certificate chain was longer than 10 but less than 30.
